My Best Tips for Comic Creating

Hi everyone!
I've finished with Alien Rove The Conclave, it's simply about how the 3 met. Or rather how the brothers, Steven and Danny, met the fierce Amber.
I thought I'd tell you on how I come up ideas for Comics/stories, here are a few tips:
1.  Reading!-- expand your reading, even though you love reading: horror novels, love stories, comedy, etc... Reading a variety of books can help you come up with character personalities and story situations. Sometimes, the harder the situation is for your character, the more excited your reader gets! But DON'T make it so hard where YOU can't get them out of it.
2. Observation-- look around in your environment, what kind of a story can you come up with in your own room? Or out in public? Without being a creeper, try to observe how people act, how they say about certain things/accent, what they use and, without stealing, try to incorporate this into your own book/comic.
3. If your the illustrator for your own book, you probably already know this... Keep Drawing!
Remember this is your art, I've seen manga/anime on how they change from a serious style, to a chibi style in a split second! To me, it's always fun to see that even in a serious situation, there still able to place comedy into it, just by transforming the characters!
BIGGY: Never give up!
Change your story if needed, change your characters capabilities, change their personalities if needed! (Preferably before you introduce your characters the public.) But don't give up on what you love to do! Yes, you'll have things in life that will slow you down, but don't let it stop you, instead use it! Your own life situations can also be a huge inspiration for your characters/stories.
I hope this helps! Thank you! God bless!

Nine Chances to Die (part 3)

Johnny glared at the cat, as he slowly got up. The straggly cat continued to stare coldly at him.

“what, you think this is your doing?”

“Why don’t you go back to where ever you came from, black cats are just superstition.” He said walking away.

Ok, that was close! He thought.

He had trouble walking b/c of his missing shoe, but went on anyway. He wanted to just go home, for some reason he didn’t want to waste anymore time out here.

I’ll give this thing back after I show my friends that there’s no such thing as luck!

He started walking faster, twilight was now fading into darkness and street lights were now starting to appear. He decided to take a short cut through the park, he walked fast on the sidewalk through the park. The park had a decoration of a small picket metal fence, around the sidewalk.

What a stupid thing to put in a park, it’s just grass. He rolled his eyes at this.

While he was thinking this, a sudden flash of light blinded him.

The park show lights?! There’s no holiday! Why do we have idiots working in this town!

He slowed down his walking, he kept squinting and groping through the light, trying to get through.

I’m getting out! This is getting ridiculous!

He jumped over the fencing, leaving a gash on his foot. The cut was so deep he began to leave a trail of blood behind, the blood was rushing out of his foot so fast that he began to feel light headed and felt weaker with each step he took.

He did what he could to ignored the pain as he ran through the grassy field. He didn’t know why he felt so panicked! He kept running into the darkness, until finally tripping over something hard in the dark sting his bloody foot. He felt himself flying into the air, until finally smacking into the cold wet surface of the lake.

He opened his eyes, he felt himself floating.

Am I dead?

He tried to move, he felt heavy and slow. He wasn’t dead, he was in the lake! He struggled through the weeds and the heaviness of the water. With each stroke he took, he could feel him felt himself getting weaker and weaker. He was still losing blood from his the huge gash from his foot.

He finally broke through the surface of the lake, feeling light headed from the lost of blood and exhausted from his swim. He pulled himself on the edge of the lake, he laid on his stomach. He reflected on all that had happen.

Why? This can’t be real… no.

His eyes wandered over to a 4 legged figure.

“Oh C’mon! What’s your deal!” he shouted at it.

The figure let out a low growl while stepping into the light, the figure’s mouth had a heavy foam coming out of it’s mouth.

It was a rabid dog, he was coming closer to Johnny.

“oh no” he moaned.

His head turned away from the dog, he flinched to see the straggly cat by his side, he locked eyes with the cat’s, as it’s eyes changed to 5. Johnny turned his head and closed his eyes, he heard the growls of the dog as it neared him.

There’s no such thing as luck! There’s no such thing as luck!

No! No! No!

***Thanks for taking your time to read this! Please leave a comment and tell me what'cha think! There will be a part 4 later, will he live? will he die? Is this real? Stay tooned!***

Nine Chances to Die (part 2)

Johnny ducked in an alley way, he had ran 3 blocks from the merchant’s shop, he stopped for a breather.

I did it! He thought

I proved that there is no such thing as luck.

He breathed hard, desperately trying to catch his breath.
He glance up for a sec, he found a straggly cat, with its ear half bitten and its tail half bare, staring him down coldly with violet eyes. Something was odd with it's eyes, the pupils had the shape of a nine.

“What?” he choked out, still trying to catch his breath.
“You don’t scare me, you’re just an ordinary black cat.”
The cat continued to stare at him coldly, Johnny rolled his eyes, he wasn't about to take this, especially from some cat. He walked past the cat, ignoring it's gaze. He started down the sidewalk.

it's just a stupid cat. It can't do anything to me. He thought.

He looked around in his surroundings, it was becoming twilight now. He could see that some of the street lights came on. He started  across the street to the next block.

SCREEEECCHH!!!

Johnny looked up, he saw a car screeching and roaring down the street, the car didn't look like it was planning to stop at a red light. Johnny started walking faster, but before reaching the corner, he couldn't move!

Johnny looked down to find tar had been road! He could hear the car coming faster now, Johnny struggled through the tar.

No! It's not bad luck!

He thought, loosing one of his shoes, he could hear the car almost upon him. As a final attempt, he jumped as far as he could.

He makes a bellyflop on the pavement, barely missing the car, he made it to the corner! He looked back, seeing the car speed by him, the tar having no effect to the car! He sighed in relief, turned his head toward the corner, to come face to face with the same straggly cat, staring coldly with it's eyes changing to 8.

Nine Chances to Die

This is too easy! He thought
Johnny always thought of himself as professionally skilled, always trying to take it to the next level, trying to test out on how far he can go. His friends would just call him ‘lucky’, but Johnny would never take that kind of logic. “There’s no such thing as luck, good or bad!”  He would always tell his friends.
This made Johnny more determined to prove that to his friends. He was going to steal something from the old merchant, good luck would have nothing to do with stealing and bad luck would’ve prevented him from stealing. According from the logic from his friends.
This is my chance… Johnny thought, as his hand slowly reached for the item.
His eyes slowly followed the merchant, the merchant’s eyes fixed on the newspaper. Closely studying it like it was a test question. Without looking up, the merchant walked slowly to his back office.
As soon as he was out of sight, he snatched the item and started to walk fast toward the door.
He can see the light as he neared the door, when suddenly a black cat jumped right in the door way. It was too late for Johnny to miss the cat’s tail as the cat let out a loud growl.
Johnny kept running, not turning back.
I can’t get caught! I have to prove it to my friends, there’s no such thing as luck, good or bad.
(To be continued)

Alien Rove "The Meeting"

It took me 6 months, but I finally was able to finish the new prequel of Alien Rove! "The Meeting", Which is coming out very soon in eBook.

If you’ve never heard of this before, you can check it out here: https://www.deviantart.com/kandy899/gallery/63651882/Alien-Rove

The quality has improved, the other pages that are shown are my first pages of Alien Rove. When first doing this, the idea of it was just for 2 aliens, Steven and Danny, just traveling around the universe, exploring other planets before, eventually, making it to ours. No story to it at first. It wasn’t until I finished my 1st page that I started to question on why they left: Did they have to leave? Was it life or death? Was their planet dying?

From that point on, I accomplished the rest of the storyline and a prequel introducing the characters on what “fence” they came from.

Don’t be shy, please comment on what you think about the story. I am always looking on ways to improve!

Christopher Robin

Christopher Robin
(MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!)

As soon as the Disney logo went off screen and we saw Christopher Robin and Pooh Bear and their own style. I couldn't stop smiling, when they moved on to bits and pieces of Christopher Robins life, showing how hard it was for him to grow up, I felt like crying. And then during the movie when Christopher Robin was yelling at Pooh Bear, I wanted to hurt Christopher Robin!

This movie has all the right messages!

The Heffalumps and Woozles, in this movie, are symbolic to how we allow ourselves to be warped into the business part of life or anything that distractions us from who or what is truly important. And if we're not careful, we become those evil parts of life.

Christopher Robin's mind was so wrapped up on what the world considered important. He forgot that even the most simplest things in life are just as important, if not more. This is an extremely important message to all, to keep things simple and good. For all good things come from God. 😊

Take the time to go and watch it, if not with your kids, at least for yourself. You will not regret it.

God bless!

Losing

Persecution can be a scary thing

By strangers? No… not by far

It’s more like the love ones sitting in our car

The people that we’ve grown to love and understand

Losing them is something we cannot stand

We mustn’t lose heart, for when we let them go

God will cleanse them out, to be refined and new

But if they continued to be a stubborn one!

At least they’ve been warned by you.

Presenting: Wrapping!
